Every woman has a different body shape which is what makes each and every woman so beautiful. We want to make shopping for your wedding gown simple and easy so that you can truly enjoy the experience. We are sharing how to determine your body type and what silhouettes look best on each body type.
Our bridal consultants are trained to determine the best silhouette for your body. Our store has a diverse bridal inventory to make every bride feel beautiful! We are here to guide you every step of the way!
If possible, it is great to come with your hair how you imagine it for your wedding day. It doesn’t have to be perfect! Don’t have a style in mind yet? It’s ok to come naturally, too! Next, bring your most trusted friends and family. They should not only help you make a decision but also support any decision you make! Remember, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and beautiful for your special occasion!
Hourglass
A relaxed fit-and-flare, corset style, or mermaid wedding dress are all great options to flatter curves.
A ball gown is another great option. Think about picking one with a fitted bodice and a full skirt.
A sweetheart neckline is a great option to compliment the upper body.
Small-chested
Structures and form-fitted dresses are a great option to enhance the bodice.
Ruching, embellishments, and wrapping are good characteristics to look for in a wedding gown.
Other styles that work great for this body type are V-neck and low back wedding dresses.
Petite
Flowy layers, monochromatic fabrics, vertical detail, and smooth fabric are all characteristics that flatter the petite body shape.
If you are looking for a ball gown dress, try an A-line silhouette instead!
Fit-and-flare styles are also an option with little embellishment and a relaxed structure.
High or natural waistlines are another great option to elongate the body.
Pear-Shaped
A ball gown or A-line wedding dress looks amazing on most people, especially a pear-shaped figure.
Try to focus on the bodice of the dress, whether it's through embellishments or details.
Tall & Slender
A ball gown, low waisted, or fit-and-flare wedding gown are a great option to downplay height.
If you’re looking to play up your height try an elegant sheet wedding dress.
Athletic
An A-line or fit-and-flare wedding gown is a great option to enhance the silhouette.
Look for a unique neckline, beading, and embellishments, or a tiered skirt to add angles to the dress.
Think about a halter top or strapless dress to show off the arms.
Full-Chested
A wider strap or a sleeved dress is a great option to support the chest.
To flatter the natural curves, try a sweetheart, portrait, or bateau neckline.
Pick a dress with a higher back or corset to provide more support.
